Rhenosterspruit Nature Conservancy lies centrally between Pretoria, Johannesburg and the West Rand, and is a largely unspoilt, natural area.

Rietvlei Nature Reserve is located in Pretoria and is about 4,000 hectares in size. Located within the reserve is the Rietvlei Dam.

 Krugersdorp Game Reserve has several different habitats including grassland, rocky outcrops and forest, which allow it to sustain a variety of game including zebra, giraffe and numerous antelope. There are also some lions in a separate enclosure.

Bronkhorstspruit Dam Nature Reserve  is just 40 minutes from Pretoria and just over an hour from Johannesburg. They a wide range of water sports, fishing, bird watching and just being outdoors.
